You are at a key and decisive moment in your life
Choosing the university you will attend to pursue your career is a turning point for you and your family. It’s important that you choose a school that can help you face the world, and while you’re at it, take advantage of your Hispanic roots, traditions and language at the University of Puerto Rico.
The University of Puerto Rico is aware of the importance of higher education for Latino populations in the United States and recognizes that it can play an important role in their education. Although these students are highly interested in getting reacquainted with the Spanish language and with their Hispanic roots, some are not quite prepared to embark in an academic program offered fully in Spanish. Thus, we offer a limited number of students the opportunity to participate in our special Bilingual Initiative for Latino Students, through which they will enhance their possibilities of a college degree in a first rate University at a very affordable cost.
As a student at UPR you will get classroom and hands on experience, enjoying the advantages of a full university. Plus, you will have the opportunity to experience life on the beautiful, sunbathed Caribbean. You will also enjoy meeting students who share your Hispanic roots, get acquainted with Puerto Rican culture and traditions, and becoming fluent in Spanish. These are the added benefits of pursuing an education at UPR.
